Position Vacant
Geology Intern
Lamington Resources is offering an internship to a current geology student from the University of Guyana. The candidate should be studying full-time and looking to take their studies to the next level. Work will be primarily located at our Georgetown office, however campaign style field work will be required from time to time, depending on availability.
This is less of a traditional intern program and more of an ongoing job program whereby the intern will form an important part of the business. This is a role for someone who wants to learn while making meaningful contributions to the projects they are assisting with. If the right candidate is found, it is envisaged that the role will be ongoing through until the intern graduates.

This intern will be guided each step along the way and will gain substantial knowledge in all aspects of the mineral exploration business. If the intern is keen, there will be much to be learned in this role as the candidate will be working on Guyanese projects, Australian projects and possibly other South American projects, all with differing geology. During field campaigns, there will always be a team present, including a geologist. We never do field work alone for safety reasons. However, most work will be office based in Georgetown.
This is a paid position consisting of a base salary plus incentives. It is understood that the University course is the primary focus of the intern and work hours will be flexible and adapted to the study work load. This position is seen as being as a part-time job during semester periods and converting to full-time during semester breaks depending on availability. We are flexible and time off for study commitments/exams is expected. Exact hours and workloads will be negotiated with right candidate to suit their availability. This role should complement the studies of the intern, not hamper them.
